Love the ideas in this article, thank you. Building on that intersection of environment and community, what if you asked your community to bring their plates from home for the party so that you don't need single-use plates of any kind?
I loved this: I’ve written that if humans have been around for 300,000 years, that's like 2000 generations, and for only 2 or 3 generations in human history have we been doing this nuclear family thing. We are not wired for it, and it’s not good for us.
I think that that's what we need to be building – massive forests of humans who recognize how truly interdependent we are.
I'm amazed at how many solutions are all tied together. Housing affordability/climate/physical health (walk more, drive less)/mental health (more interactions, more time outside), shared parenting duties, keeping kids away from screens. It's amazing how community lies at the heart of so much. Fantastic interview - thank you!
I feel silly asking, but how can I become a paid subscriber? The Manage Subscription button gives the unhelpful message "You cannot manage your subscription in the app."
Me again! Somehow the Auntie Bulletin 2-for-1 offer didn't work. I tried unsubscribing from my free Auntie Bulletin subscription and tapping the Golden Hour's special link again and choosing "Annual $0/year" but it still says "You already have an active subscription" right above the Apple Pay button. Any wisdom?
P.S. Happy birthday to Lisa. I also have an early-March bday!

And involve the kids in deciding!

Yes! The flip side of all our many interconnected challenges is what Elizabeth Sawin calls "multisolutions".
Oooo love that.
Oh, I love that concept label!
I wish they made it easier!
